This year over 950 friends, family and colleagues gathered to celebrate the 100 Great Iowa Nurses of 2011. Presiding over the event was Dean Rita Frantz of the University of Iowa College of Nursing. Dave Hickman of Mercy Health Network and Dr. Ellen Cram of the University of Iowa College of Nursing read the names of the honorees, and Cecelia Kirvin (2010 Great Iowa Nurse) of Blank Children's Hospital spoke about 'Simple Things.'
